Iliana Downing, a junior at La Costa Canyon High in California, cleared a lifetime-best 13-9 (4.19m) on her third attempt to win the girls invitational pole vault at the 63rd Mt. SAC Relays at Hilmer Lodge Stadium in Walnut, Calif. Downing also contributed to the Mavericks' third-place finish in 12:07.61 in the girls invitational distance medley relay, joining Sophia Biesinger, Annie Nelson and Gioana Lopizzo.
